Where is The Patch MK?

The Patch is located at Mount Mill Farm, just outside Milton Keynes in Northamptonshire.

Parking is available on site FOC. Disabled parking is also available and is situated closest to the main entrance to the event.


Can I change my booking?

Early Bird tickets: free changes up to 7 days before your visit.

Flexible Tickets: changes up to 1 hour before arrival.


How many pumpkin varieties do you grow?

This year, we’ve planted over 100 varieties of pumpkins and squash, ranging from traditional carving pumpkins to unique heirloom varieties, miniature pumpkins, giant pumpkins and culinary pumpkins & squash. With so many shapes, sizes, colours and textures to discover, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.


Can I bring my dog?

Unfortunately dogs are not permitted on site, with the exception of registered assistance dogs. Please do not leave dogs in vehicles while visiting.


How long can I stay?

Your slot time is an arrival time only. You’re very welcome to stay as long as you’d like within daytime opening hours if you have a daytime ticket or within our Pumpkin Night’s opening hours if you have purchased a Night time ticket.


Do I need to print my tickets?

No, but please ensure you have your QR code’s downloaded and ready to be scanned at the entry gate.


Can I buy tickets on the gate?

Tickets may be available to purchase on the gate, subject to availability. Entry on the gate is NOT guaranteed and we recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment.


Can I pay using cash or card?

Yes, you can pay for your pumpkins and other goods with cash or card. 


Are your pumpkins edible?

Yes! All of the pumpkins grown at The Patch MK are edible. We carefully select as many varieties as possible for their flavour and culinary qualities. With over 100 varieties of pumpkins and squash to choose from, you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to seasonal recipes.

Throughout the Pumpkin Patch, you’ll find recipes and helpful information highlighting the best varieties for soups, roasting, baking and other delicious seasonal dishes. If you’re unsure which pumpkin to choose, just ask a member of our team, who will be happy to help.


Is there an age restriction?

Yes. All visitors under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a full-paying adult aged 18 or over throughout their visit.


Are there toilets on site?

Toilets are available on site.


Are you wheelchair friendly?

The Patch is a stunning place to explore, and we work hard to try and make as many areas of the site accessible to all.

The site is very large and situated within the family farm. The fields can be bumpy, muddy and uneven underfoot.

Intrepid visitors in wheelchairs and mobility scooters do negotiate the paths around the fields, we would advise you to take the decision depending on the frailty and attitude of the individual.

During pumpkin season, the site can become very muddy.

Accessible toilets are available and are located within our toilet area.

Disabled parking is available and is located next to our main entrance to the site.


Can I bring a picnic?

We do not allow picnics at out Pumpkin Festival.Please note that the Grazing Shed marquee is reserved for customers who have purchased food and drink on-site.We kindly ask that you take any personal rubbish away with you as the bins at The Patch are removed by a private company at a high cost to ourselves.


Do I need to pre-book coach or minibus parking?

Yes, please contact us at hello@thepatchmk.co.uk to reserve a coach or minibus parking space.


How much are the pumpkins?

Our pumpkins and squash are price depending upon their size and range in price from £1 to £10+ for a whopper!We use measuring hoops to price the pumpkins and pumpkin pricing boards are located throughout the site for visitors to view.


Am I allowed to fly my drone?

No. Drones are not permitted at The Patch MK.


Am I allowed to wear fancy dress, make-up or props?

Fancy dress and make-up are welcome at The Patch MK. However, for the safety and comfort of all guests, masks and imitation weapons are not permitted on site.


How can I pay for the Barrel Train?

You may pay for the Barrel train ride with cash or card directly to the driver.

Is it ok to take photos at The Patch?

Yes! The Patch is a wonderful place and is full of cool photography locations, both natural and created by us.If you are not a professional photographer, there is no extra charge for taking pictures.Professional photographers or businesses who will profit from their photographs must book a photographers session. Please visit our Photography page for further details.


Can I have a photo shoot at The Patch?

Looking to book a photo shoot? We would recommend contacting Kate Stoddart-Scott.

Kate is a very talented photographer whose relaxed and fun-loving personality will put even the most camera-shy individual at ease. She joined us to capture special moments at our first event in 2019 and has returned for each event since. Kate holds photo shoots on selected days during our opening hours. Please contact her directly for further details and to book a session.


Can I bring a pram/pushchair?

Of Course! Please be aware that the event is in a field, so the ground is often uneven and bumpy during pumpkins, you can always use a wheelbarrow.The ground conditions will change depending on the weather conditions. You may prefer to use a sling or carrier instead. Please speak to the team member at the entrance when you arrive for an update on the ground conditions.We also have baby-changing facilities in our accessible toilet.


Do we need to bring wellies and waterproofs?

As we’re a working farm, much of the experience takes place outdoors. October weather can be changeable, so we recommend dressing for the conditions and bringing waterproofs and wellies if rain is forecast or if it has been raining prior to your visit.

We have a number of covered seating areas within our marquees where you can relax, enjoy a warm drink and some delicious food, and soak up the atmosphere. However, the pumpkin fields themselves are largely open to the elements, so it’s always best to come prepared for the weather.


Do you provide wheelbarrows?

Yes, we provide a wheelbarrow per group free of charge


Is parking free?

Yes, parking is included within your entry ticket


Do you have live entertainment?

Yes and our live entertainment is included with your admission ticket.

During the day, you’ll encounter our mischievous witches as they roam the Patch, along with live performances and interactive entertainment designed to bring the magic of autumn to life.

During Pumpkin Nights, the entertainment continues with live music, spectacular LED and Fire Shows performed by our resident witches, with even more exciting additions planned for 2026.


Do you have live music?

Yes! We feature live music during our Pumpkin Nights evening events, showcasing some of the region’s most talented local artists and helping to create the unique atmosphere that makes Pumpkin Nights so special.

Can I toast marshmallows?

Yes! Marshmallows are available to purchase on site for toasting over our fire pits, including vegan options.

For safety and food hygiene reasons, we are unable to allow marshmallows brought from home to be toasted on site.


Do you have food and drink available?

Yes, we have a variety of food and drink options available throughout your visit.

Visit the Grazing Shed for a wide range of food options and undercover seating, enjoy offerings from our street food vendors, or warm up with one of our hot seasonal drinks.

The SpookEasy Bar will also be open at selected times throughout the event, serving a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

Please note that food and drink vendors may vary throughout the season.


Do you have Highchairs on site?

We do not have highchairs on site.


What is Nights at The Patch?

As the sun sets, The Patch transforms into a magical autumn evening experience. Pumpkin Nights combines pumpkin picking after dark with live music, spectacular LED and Fire Shows, seasonal food and drink, immersive entertainment, illuminated photo opportunities and our Haunt attraction.

Whether you’re looking for family fun, autumn atmosphere or a spooky evening out with friends, Pumpkin Nights offers a unique way to experience the magic of autumn after dark.


Is Nights at The Patch suitable for children?

Absolutely! Pumpkin Nights is designed to be enjoyed by visitors of all ages. Families can enjoy pumpkin picking, live entertainment, illuminated displays, photo opportunities, live music, our spectacular LED and Fire Shows, and many of the attractions available throughout the event.

Please note:

  • The Haunt is designed to provide a more intense experience and may not be suitable for younger children. Parental discretion is advised.

  • Play equipment such as the bale maze, slide trailer and Barrel Train are closed during the evenings, additional activities may also be closed after dark for Health and Safety reasons.

  •  


Are the Fire & LED Shows included in the ticket price?

Yes, our spectacular LED and Fire Shows are included with your Pumpkin Nights admission ticket. We’re also working on a number of exciting additions for Pumpkin Nights 2026, with further details to be announced closer to the event.


What time do the shows take place?

Show times will be confirmed closer to October


What happens if it rains at night?

Our LED Shows can operate in most weather conditions. However, Fire Shows can only take place during suitable weather conditions and may be replaced with an additional LED Show if the weather is unsuitable.


Do I need a separate ticket for the evening event?

Yes. Pumpkin Nights is a separate event and requires its own admission ticket.


Can I visit just for the evening?

Yes, the evening is an event in itself and many guests visit exclusively for Pumpkin Nights. Simply purchase a Pumpkin Nights ticket and enjoy everything the evening event has to offer, including live entertainment, live music, LED and Fire Shows, food and drink, photo opportunities and the option to experience the Haunt.
