Environmental Stewardship & Community Support at The Patch

The Patch MK is not just a pumpkin and sunflower farm. We strive to enhance the local environment by planting bee-friendly wildflowers and supporting communities locally and globally.

Planting Trees and Flowers – Our Pollinator & Wildflower Initiatives

Over the past 6 years, we planted over 80 acres of wildflowers for pollinators in the Summer. We have also planted over 1400 trees and 75 acres of winter bird mixtures to support native wild birds.

Toilet Twinning

At The Patch, we’ve partnered with the Toilet Twinning initiative to help fund the construction of six toilets in rural Malawian communities. This project aims to provide communities in need with essential sanitation, clean water, and hygiene education.

Why Malawi?

Well, Joe is actually a qualified safari guide as well as a farmer! He has spent a significant amount of time in Southern Africa and Malawi in particular is close to his heart.

Be sure to check out our twinned toilets when you visit The Patch MK this Summer!

Local Junior Sports Clubs

We support through sponsorships, three of our local sports clubs.

Stony Stratford Cricket Club, Buckingham Rugby Club and Towcester hockey club.

We believe that sport and spending time outdoors are essential for young people’s well-being, which is why we are proud to support our local sports clubs.

Stony in Bloom and Old Stratford in Bloom

The Patch sunflower farm supported Stony in Bloom and Old Stratford in Bloom by providing sunflower seeds this year. They also allowed local residents to donate for sunflower plants to replant in their gardens. They donated all proceeds to support the Red Cross in Ukraine, raising over £1093.
